We offer a number of choices depending on the package you choose.
The maximum length of an agreement is 24 months for Gold, 18 months for Silver.
The agreements vary because our equipment options vary. It is obviously more expensive for Cabvision to provide our customers with the Gold than it is to provide the Silver Package.
As this is a free of charge service to you, by entering into a slightly longer agreement, it gives Cabvision the opportunity to get back its initial investment in you and your vehicle.
Nothing, it’s totally free of charge
If you sell your vehicle and wish to stay with us, Cabvision will transfer the equipment to your new vehicle free of charge. A new agreement will be drawn up for your new vehicle.
If you sell your vehicle whilst the agreement is still in place and do not want to keep the system, you will be charged the removal fee of £300 under the terms of the agreement.
If the new owner of the vehicle wishes to keep the equipment and enter into an agreement with Cabvision Network Ltd there will be no charge to you.
We will pay you 100% of the fares and tips/gratuities taken on the Cabvision card reader every third day. Fares taken on Friday will require 4 days due to the weekend.
Cabvision understand that not all our customers like media screens. You are free to choose whichever option suits your requirements. However, our new Know London channel for the screens must be seen before you make your mind up.
If you currently take cards using a handheld device, unfortunately this rules Cabvision out for now but we will be happy to talk you through our products when your existing agreement expires.
If you are on a radio circuit, you are permitted to accept cards on any jobs dispatched from the circuit as normal. As a Cabvision Network Ltd client, if the customer is a hailed fare that wishes to pay by card the passenger should be directed to our equipment. Our agreement with you entitles us to exclusivity for electronic payments taken in the passenger compartment.
The Cabvision credit card terminal fully integrates with the fare meter so you do not have to input the fair manually. The payment system in the passenger compartment means that the passenger has control of the whole transaction process. There is also a card reader in the front of the vehicle, which allows you to see that the transaction has been authorized and accepted; you do not see any sensitive information, such as pin code. The driver’s terminal produces the transaction receipt, which you hand to the passenger. You retain your copy for your records.
If you have negotiated a fixed fare for the journey this can be authorized in the same way before the journey commences.
No, you don’t have to change your meter.
We are running training sessions at our offices that enable you to familiarise yourself with our products before you sign up and hit the street. Cabvision Training Days are similar to the Radio Circuit training and tackle any problems you may have.
We are located on the first floor, above the Mercedes Vito Taxi showroom at KPM, Hemming Street, London E1 5BL. Our direct entrance is in Vallance Road.
We operate a 24-hour help desk located in the UK. You get to speak to a real person at any time of the day or night.
If the help desk cannot assist you by telephone, we request that you come to our premises at KPM, where we can quickly replace the faulty equipment. This process should take no longer than 20 minutes.
Our policy is to replace rather than repair for a more efficient and speedy service.
There is no damage to your vehicle. Cabvision never touch the cabs as all fittings are carried out by our specialist partners such as KPM Fitting will take between 2-3 hours, dependent on vehicle type and option choice. There is no fitting with the Bronze option.
Yes you can. Being a current KPM customer is not a condition to qualify for our products.
TPHO guidelines allow a surcharge to be added to the fare if payment is made credit/debit or contactless card. The surcharge is our operating fee and allows us to continue providing you with a premium service.
